The Antiquity II Jaguar vintage singlecoil pickup uses calibrated Alnico 5 rod magnets and a custom coil wind for a focused '60s surf tone that is bright and jangly. The mid'60s Jaguar was an important part of the surf guitar sound for countless Southern California bands, and was heard on many TV and movie soundtracks. This vintage singlecoil pickup recreates that classisound. Our custom Antiquity aging process adds a sweetness to the Antiquity II Jaguar's top end, while retaining its bright, chimey focus, even if you're playing through a wash of rever(as you should be). Pair with the RW/RP Antiquity II Jaguar neck pickup for humcanceling operation when used together. When used on its own, the Antiquity II Jaguar neck model is surprisingly versatile, going way beyond surf into funk, altrock, and psychedelirealms. These pickups are dropin replacements for any Fender American Standardsized Jaguar pickup, and will fit into the existing cover and claw. Hand built in our Custom Shop, this pickup incorporates handground Alnico 5 rod magnets, a custom coil wind with heavy formvar mag wire, vintagecorrect bottom gray flatwork, and cloth pushback lead wire. All Antiquity II Jaguar vintage singlecoil pickups are lacquered and wax potted like the originals.
